Noelle 97.5 lbs. – 24″ tall
Noelle is a beautiful Bernese mountain dog. Her parents are Nellar and Duc. Duc was imported from a phenomenal kennel in France. I traveled there myself to hand-pick him from my choice of a few litters. Nellar was bred at my mother’s kennel. Her parents are Veruschka, who was imported from an award-winning kennel in Slovakia, and Daiko, who was imported from Belgium over a decade ago and became a Canadian champion before his first birthday! As you can see, Noelle has a very impressive pedigree filled with dogs who we hand-picked from some of the top Bernese mountain dog lines throughout Europe. We have owned her lines for three generations and her puppies will be the fourth generation.
Noelle lived with a foster family for the first 18 months of her life. Her foster mother, Alyssa, describes her as an amazing dog who was instantly part of the family. Noelle loves deeply when she creates a bond. She is so sweet and has bonded with people of all ages and animals of all sizes. She would never hurt a fly – it’s amazing actually! She is curious, but has a very sweet, submissive personality. She knows who her loved ones are, and isn’t afraid to greet a stranger with some barks, especially if they don’t stop to say hi to her, before happily accepting a pat or a cuddle. Once Noelle has warmed up to you, she displays massive amounts of affection. She loves kisses, cuddles, playing, simply lying next to you, or, everyone’s favorite, plopping her bum onto your foot and leaning ALL that Berner weight on you before lifting her head to look at you upside down. And trust me, you just can’t get enough! She is such a silly, sweet, and loving dog.
She is curious and will sometimes observe from afar to satisfy that curiosity before she approaches a situation. She has such a sweet, happy, and at times goofy, bouncy, and bubbly personality that she’ll eventually jump right in!
Noelle loves to play in the dirt and mud, maybe because she is so bouncy and bubbly – a real free spirit. She is always spotting the best dirt she can find, and will bounce and roll around in it, even sometimes stopping from a full-tilt run just to slide into a mud puddle. Although you wouldn’t believe it, she pulls it all off gracefully.
Noelle can be so gentle, and it seems like she is always trying to remember to be a lady. She moves with such finesse, even when she’s clumsy! She loves to lie with her long arms and legs crossed, and drinks so neatly from her bowl that she takes forever just to drink an inch! She is the exact opposite when it comes to food though. Who can blame her? I used to have to teach her to take a break and breathe while eating by breaking her meal into small portions and giving her one at a time, just to have her chew it instead of inhaling it! She still manages to squeeze a little cry of joy in here and there while eating her smaller portions, but she would never think twice to let you take away her dish and is not protective of her food even though she loves it so much!
Noelle is also quite an adaptable dog. Her personality is so well rounded she can be the perfect dog for a family of any size and make-up, or she can be the perfect dog for one on one, whether it be accompanying you to work, helping you do chores, traveling with you, etc. She can be independent if you want her to keep to herself, or she will stay right by your side if you want her to keep you company. She is very well behaved and relaxed once she has done her work for the day. She easily earns herself an invite onto the couch for a cuddle, but her silliness will still shine through as she accepts belly and back rubs simultaneously while rolling and squirming around so much to get comfortable that she somehow ends up on your lap, the couch, and the floor all at once!
Noelle is the perfect balance of delightful, well behaved, and silly. And she stays true to her versatile personality, always. She is an amazing dog.
Noelle has an amazing motherly instinct. She helps her puppies get a head start on being great family dogs! I’m always so happy with the quality of the pups she produces!
