For the terminal marker OK ,wait until your dog is still , say OK then leap into your reward presentation. Let the dog come all the way to your hand and take the reward from it, it is important not to shove the food at the dog. This will decrease motivation for the food .
For the duration marker YES, wait until your dog is still , say Yes and feed. When initially charging the duration marker to your dog , use a higher frequency of reward to prevent the dog from moving. This means having short times in between YES’s.
